I recently stayed at a hostel during Christmas and there were a couple of things that I really enjoyed. the staff was absolutely amazing. They were friendly and welcoming, and they all spoke perfect English. They even offered me a nice fresh beer as soon as I arrived, which I really appreciated. I loved the curtains covering the beds. It gave me a nice sense of privacy, which is always important when staying in a hostel. Lastly, the location of the hostel was key. It was right near the bus terminal and the restaurant/bar district, making it easy to explore and find places to eat and drink.
There were a couple of things that I did not enjoy during my stay. the bed was super uncomfortable, which made it really difficult for me to sleep.

During my recent stay at Tilia, I had a wonderful time exploring the beautiful city. The hostel is located in a great area, close to the center but still quiet. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I particularly enjoyed the special dinner and cocktail nights organized by the owner on weekends. The hostel had all the amenities I needed, including a well-equipped kitchen and cozy common areas. Plus, the WiFi worked perfectly, allowing me to study when necessary. The option to do laundry for a small fee was also a convenient perk.
One minor drawback was that my dorm room was located across from the reception and next to the street, which could get a bit noisy at times. Additionally, there was only one bathroom for the entire floor, which was not always convenient.

The breakfast could use some improvement, maybe more variety of options.

We had a fantastic stay at this incredibly designed hostel. the building was huge and the rooms were spacious. the natural light was amazing, and we loved the large terrace with its great view. the hostel had a cozy and updated feel, and the lockers were big enough to store all our belongings. We appreciated the private bathrooms in each room, as well as the communal bathrooms on the main floor. the overall vibe was peaceful, and we enjoyed the tranquility. Everything we needed, from restaurants to the harbor, was within walking distance. We will definitely stay at Tilia again. Cons: Don't have any issues at all! 😊.

The hostel was spacious and ideally located, making it convenient to explore the city. The staff was extremely nice and communication was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, with fast WiFi. Additionally, the kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to prepare our own meals easily.
Our room was located near the kitchen and entrance, resulting in a lot of noise during the night. People staying in the common areas were loud past 1:00 AM, and there were disturbances caused by guests entering and leaving the front door.

The location was great, with easy access to the airport and the train station. The rooftop terrace was a nice spot to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived.
My stay was anything but enjoyable. The room I booked looked nothing like the photos and had a strong smell of urine and clogged drains.

Good location, close to the city center and transportation options. The hostel had a beautiful decor with a cozy atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing useful information about the area.
I encountered a cockroach in my room, which was quite terrifying for me. Despite informing the reception discreetly, they dismissed it as a normal occurrence.

The atmosphere at Tilia was exactly what I was looking for - vibrant and social. I had a great time meeting and chatting with fellow travelers in the communal areas. The terrace was a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The beds were comfortable and provided privacy with their own curtains.
Although there were a few minor inconveniences, such as the lack of noise insulation in the rooms and the absence of shelves in the bathrooms, these did not detract from my overall enjoyment of the stay. Additionally, the cleanliness of the hostel was impressive and the hot showers were a welcome bonus.
